At Penguin Daycare Nursery, we provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and develop with confidence. Our dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing high-quality care for babies, toddlers and young children, ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and supported.

We offer a wide range of fun and engaging activities designed to support your child’s development across all areas, while encouraging their curiosity, independence and confidence. Spending time with children of a similar age also provides valuable opportunities to develop important social skills, including sharing, communication, cooperation and learning how to resolve everyday disagreements.

We believe that strong communication with parents is an important part of your child’s nursery experience. We maintain a daily record of your child’s day with us, which we are happy to share with you each day.

The Baby Room

Our dedicated Baby Room provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for babies under 15 months. The room is thoughtfully divided into two areas, including a quieter space for our youngest babies, perfect for sleep, rest and peaceful activities throughout the day.

Our baby spaces are carefully equipped with a variety of colourful, age-appropriate toys and resources to encourage curiosity, exploration and early development. Our caring practitioners provide plenty of one-to-one attention, interaction and stimulation, helping each baby feel secure, confident and supported as they discover the world around them.

We understand that every baby develops at their own pace, which is why our weekly planning is tailored to each child's individual needs, interests and developmental next steps. This allows us to provide meaningful experiences that support their learning and development while ensuring they feel happy, settled and cared for.

Our Baby Room offers a loving, home-from-home environment where your baby can grow, explore and flourish, while following the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

T1, Toddler Room

Our first Toddler room is designed to meet the needs of children from approximately 18 months to 2 ½ years, depending on their stage of development, with resources aimed at encouraging and enhancing their development.The staff in the room plan activities that suit your child’s stage of development as well as free play activities which encourage the children to

investigate and explore their environment while developing their mathematical and social skills, all

within the EYFS guidelines.

T2, Toddler Room

Our older toddler room caters for children

from approximately 2 years 5 months until they turn three, although we will always take into account

their stage of development when moving from room to room. We have a bright stimulating environment in

which the children can explore and develop, building on their skills.

We have a welcoming carpeted area, where the children can relax and listen to stories, role play, build in the construction area or take part in creative activities.

We also have a messy play area where children can play with water, sand, paints and play dough, along with many other messy activities.

Pre-School

Our Pre-school is run by an Early Years Teacher, all staff

are level 3 qualified or above. Our pre-school is a well-equipped, stimulating environment in which to learn.

We offer an interesting and stimulating environment spread over three rooms, with activities to aid your child's development. Activities typically include working with sand, water, paint, glue and other materials, as well as music, role play, stories and games.

Early reading, writing and number skills are also introduced.
