Fully qualified staff to assist your child

At Penguin Daycare Nursery, we offer a great environment for your children to develop their skills in. Our staff members have the expertise to provide excellent care for babies, toddlers and young children. We provide a lot of activities to nurture your child's overall development. By meeting other children of their own age, your child will learn to socialise, share and resolve conflicts.

We keep a daily record for your child and will share it with you every day. If you have any special requests, do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

The Baby Room

Our baby room is designed for children under the age of 20 Months; it is separated into

two rooms with a smaller room for our very youngest babies, sleep times and quiet times. The rooms are

well equipped with colourful, stimulating toys that are age appropriate for babies. The babies are

given lots of attention and stimulation to help with their development throughout the day. Weekly plans

incorporate your child’s needs, interests and next steps of development. The baby room provides a

happy, loving environment for your baby and is working within the Early Year’s Foundation

Stage.

T1, Toddler Room

Our first Toddler room is designed to meet the needs of children from approximately 18 months to 2 ½ years, depending on their stage of development, with resources aimed at encouraging and enhancing their development.The staff in the room plan activities that suit your child’s stage of development as well as free play activities which encourage the children to

investigate and explore their environment while developing their mathematical and social skills, all

within the EYFS guidelines.

T2, Toddler Room

Our older toddler room caters for children

from approximately 2 years 5 months until they turn three, although we will always take into account

their stage of development when moving from room to room. We have a bright stimulating environment in

which the children can explore and develop, building on their skills.

We have a welcoming carpeted area, where the children can relax and listen to stories, role play, build in the construction area or take part in creative activities.

We also have a messy play area where children can play with water, sand, paints and play dough, along with many other messy activities.

Pre-School

Our Pre-school is run by an Early Years Teacher, all staff

are level 3 qualified or above. Our pre-school is a well-equipped, stimulating environment in which to learn.

We offer an interesting and stimulating environment spread over three rooms, with activities to aid your child's development. Activities typically include working with sand, water, paint, glue and other materials, as well as music, role play, stories and games.

Early reading, writing and number skills are also introduced.
